BEYOND BOOTLE 

Nearby to Bootle, Millom is the home to The Beggar’s Theatre, Ravenglass, a picturesque fishing village with sand dunes, is just across the estuary and Whitehaven is a harbour town with museums about the historic coal and rum trades. Annual events include the Black Combe Country Fair (Millom); the Egremont Crab Fair and World Gurning Championship; Esk Fest music festival (Eskdale); and SeaFest, a family friendly festival of the sea (St Bees).

Only five minutes down the road, Waberthwaite is home to the Traditional Cumberland Sausage and supplier to the royal family R B Woodall and 15 minutes away Muncaster Castle & Gardens hosts “Ghost Sit Experiences” as well as a hawk & owl sanctuary.

Transport and Commuting - Bootle Train Station

AN IDEAL LOCATION FOR COMMUTERS

Bootle Train Station is only 1 mile from from the development and there are good train links to Barrow, Whitehaven, Millom, Ulverston, Morecambe Bay and beyond. There is also a community transport bus operating between Bootle and Whitehaven called Muncaster Microbus which offers regular routes, taxi services and excursions.

Just off the main A595 road, it is easy to drive along the coastline to Sellafield at 30 minutes away, Westlakes Science Park (Britains Energy Coast), near Whitehaven, is just 33 minutes away and BAE Systems in Barrow is 55 minutes.
