The first phase will see 18 houses built including three, four and five-bedroom detached houses and two and three-bedroom bungalows. Two ponds will be created as a significant landscape and drainage feature, also increasing biodiversity.

House Designs

We have worked closely with the Lake District Nation Park planners to produce 3 indicative house types, with 8 house designs to choose from. The designs include detached houses and bungalows, with two to five bedrooms and a selection of internal layouts and accessibility options.

While all designs are open to customisation, these options ensure consistency and synchronicity with the landscape (e.g. roofs, materials, size etc.).

The Community Hub

Wellbank is all about living well: health, fitness, wellbeing, community, nature, bio diversity, accessibility, inclusion. Wellbank offers a community space where living well is easy and enjoyable. We care about people and the environment, aiming to deliver a dream lifestyle.

Wellbank Community Hub & Two Ponds (Image Only)

The Community Hub is an accessible space where you can socialise with family and friends, join the gym, enjoy exercise classes, an indoor pool, hydrotherapy pool, sensory room, steam room, sauna and eating good food at the café/bar. The hub aims to create strong links with the clubs and societies in Bootle village, where you can meet local people and become a part of the wider community.

Accessible Holiday Accommodation

Brickhouse Farm Cottage D&A

The second phase of building will see eight holiday homes being built with bespoke requirements and equipment for those with medical disabilities. Wellbank will be the first place to offer such accessible holiday homes in the Lake District National Park.

The holiday homes will have a close relationship with the Community Hub, both of which are positioned to have a different feel to the residential area.
