Our custom build and landscaping works have been developing apace this week at WELLBANK PARK. This site has been a hive of activity with various contractors on site making the most of the fine weather to make progress. We are pleased to be able to share some of this with you.

ON THE CUSTOM BUILDS…

Solar PV Panels have been fitted by Liam and the team at ELeck Energy to two of the house builds. Each panel has batteries fitted that will allow the homeowners to store the electricity that they generate throughout the day. With these powerful panels, each plot should expect to be off-grid for their electricity supply for an estimated 8 months of the year.

Waterproof protective membranes have been applied by joiner Ramas and his young apprentice Joe. Here we can see them preparing the waterproof protective membranes that will go under the timber cladding for the house on Plot 7. The silver foil material has additional thermal properties to support the energy saving performance for this home.

ON THE LANDSCAPING…

The street lighting is being planned out also by the team at ELeck who specialise in low-energy lighting. Here we see the guys studying the site to establish where the eco-lights can best be installed along the pedestrian pathways. This will allow the residents to enjoy and safely navigate throughout the site at dusk and at night.

The biodiversity of the site is developing well. As the warmer days and nights are finally here, we are starting to see the wildflowers blossoming. They are truly bringing the site to life. As nearby Bootle Village, which is looking fabulously floral, prepares for Britain in Bloom, we are delighted to be sitting alongside and supporting their efforts.

Finally, to complete our news for this week, we thought we would share with you this short video taken by our site co-owner Janet Nuttall on the peace and beauty of the landscape on one lovely sunny early July evening. We can now start to really imagine what the site will be like to live in.
